What is a 'Card Template'?
Within the Trades Wallet Web Admin Portal, an administrator can create a personalized template for cards or certifications relevant to the courses on offer by your organization.
How are 'Card Templates' used?
Once created, a 'Card Template' can be used to print a physical copy of the card or certification earned by the Wallet holder OR the card image can be loaded directly into a Trades Wallet as a 'new' Card via the 'Class Completion' process.

Card Template
To begin the process of creating a 'Card Template', first navigate to the relevant 'Course'.

- From the 'Courses' tab, you can search for an existing 'Course' to view or modify by typing the name of the 'Course' within the search bar provided:
- Alternatively, to return a listing of all courses that have previously been established by your organization, select the (blue) 'Search All' button:
Card Template
- Select the relevant 'Course' from the list provided to view the details:
- Scroll down the 'Course Details' page until you reach the sub-section entitled: 'Card Template'.
By default, the section will be 'Disabled': - To enable to section, select the toggle switch.
Doing so will reveal the 'Card Template' section, broken out into two parts: Image (left) and Modifiers (right).
NOTE: The colour blocking associated to each of the 'modifiers' is directly related to the segments within the template 'image'.
Template Image
Within the 'Card Template' section, you should note the 'Template Image' on the left. Adding a relevant image is the first step to creating your 'Card Template'.
- Select the (blue) 'Update Template Image' button:
- This will result in a file dialogue to appear from which you can select the image (JPEG or PNG) that will be used as the template image going forward:
- Once selected, the image will appear within the 'Photo Crop' window, allowing the admin to manipulate the image for an optimal fit:
- Select the 'Crop & Save' button to apply the image to the template:
Template Modifiers
NOTE: The colour blocking associated to each of the 'modifiers' is directly related to the segments within the template 'image'.
By default, each modifier is 'Enabled' and therefore displayed on the associated 'Template Image':
To remove a modifier from the template, simply 'Disable' the section (select the toggle switch such that it turns red and reads 'Disabled'). You should note that in doing so, the 'Disabled' modifier is removed the from template image.
Formatting Template Modifiers
NOTE: As you make adjustments to the template 'modifiers', you should note the changes affected on the relevant template 'image'.
Sample Name
Enter a 'Sample' name into the field provided to view how it will appear on the relevant template image OR leave the default text as a guide.
Font (Family, Size, Weight)
Select the relevant options from the fields provided.When adjusting the 'Font Size', you can either type a value into the field provided OR you can use the scroll wheel on your mouse to increase or decrease the font size.
Text Colour
Depending on the background colour of your template image, you may want to adjust the colour of the text displayed over top.
Alignment Inputs (Horizontal, Vertical, Alignment)
Use these inputs to place the relevant sample text onto the appropriate areas on the template image.
Start with the 'Alignment' option first - this enables you to place the text left, centre, or right:
You can then further refine the placement of the text by using the 'Horizontal' and 'Vertical' inputs.
NOTE: You can either type in a value, OR use the scroll wheel on your mouse to move the values up or down, which in turn moves the text up and down, or left and right, within the template.
Create Template
Once you have formatted the relevant modifiers, and the template image appears as expected, select the (blue) 'Update' button:
