How do I sign into the Field Scanner Application?
To get the most out of your Field Scanner app, you will want to sign in as an administrator by selecting the Sign In button located in the top right of the Field Scanner app.
You can sign in one of two ways:
- Type in your Username (your email address) and Password (created upon registration).
- Scan your Admin QR Code which can be found on your Trades Wallet card, should one have been issued to you, or on your account profile within the Trades Wallet web application.
I forgot my Admin Password
If you have forgotten your Admin Password, you can select the Forgot Password? button in the lower left hand corner of the apps Sign In page and Trades Wallet will walk you through the process of resetting it.
Enable camera access to my Field Scanner app:
The initial setup of the Trades Wallet Field Scanner App will request you to allow Camera Access, which is required for the Field Scanner app to scan QR Codes.
If you have accidentally denied access to the camera, you can reset it by following the steps below:
To enable camera access on iOS:
- Launch the Settings app on your iPhone or iPad.
- Tap Privacy.
- Select Trades Wallet from within the list of apps within your notification centre.
- Toggle the Allow Access switch on.
To enable camera access on Android:
Note: Managing an App's permissions requires version 6.0 Marshmallow. Unfortunately, older versions of Android have an "all or nothing" permission system, offering a user a single choice to make when deciding to install an app, with no way to modify this selection after the fact.
- Launch the Google Chrome app
- Tap Settings (3 dots upper right hand corner)
- Select Advanced
- Select Site Settings
- Tap on Camera or microphone
- Toggle the Camera or microphone switch to ON
Note: You may need to restart the camera from within the app.
Reset Camera within the App:

Within the Google Chrome app, navigate to “com”
- Select the Camera Flip button located in the upper left-hand corner of the web-app. This should restart the camera.
If you are still having trouble accessing the camera functionality, you may want to consider clearing your Cache and rebooting your device:
Clear Cache:
- Launch the Google Chrome app
- Tap Settings (3 dots upper right)
- Select Privacy
- Tap on the blue Clear Browsing Data button
- Select the check box associated to Cache
- Select the Clear button
Shutdown Chrome:
- Launch the Google Chrome app
- To the right of the address bar, tap Switch Tabs. You should see all your open Chrome tab(s)
- You can either Swipe or select the Close button in the upper right hand corner to close the tab(s)
Reboot your device:
- Press and hold your device's Power and Volume Down buttons simultaneously for at least 10 seconds, or until the screen shuts down.
- Release the buttons when you see the screen light up again.
Note: On some Android devices, you may need to hold down both the Volume Up and Volume Down buttons in conjunction with the Power button to reboot the device.
Can't login to the Web App using my Admin credentials
If your organization has assigned you as an administrator within Trades Wallet, you should have received an Invitation email from Trades Wallet requiring you to complete your registration.
If upon completing your registration you are directed to the Home Page of the Trades Wallet web application, this means that you have been assigned as an administrator with at least Back Office privilege. As an administrator with Back Office privileges, you have access within the Trades Wallet web application to search for, and edit wallets owned and managed by your own organization.
If upon completing your registration you are instead directed to a landing page containing information on the Trades Wallet Field Scanner application, this means that you have been assigned as an administrator with the rights to view the contents of a Trades Wallet via the companion mobile Field Scanner application only and will not have access to the web application.
