This FAQ covers the following topics:
What is a Profile Picture?
A Tradesperson’s profile picture is one of the most important means of authentication within Trades Wallet, used to verify that the Wallet that has been scanned belongs to the Tradesperson in question.
If upon scanning a Trades Wallet for a member of your own organization, a profile photo has not yet been uploaded to his/her Wallet, you will be prompted to upload a photo on behalf of the Tradesperson directly from the Field Scanner App.
Pending Profile Pictures
If the profile picture within the Wallet has a 'Pending' banner across the top, this indicates that the image is currently under review by the Tradesperson's organization and cannot be updated until the image is verified.
As such, it is recommended you confirm the pending image against a valid piece of photo ID.
Update a Profile Picture
To view or update the profile image associated with the Wallet, simply tap on the blue 'Take Photo' button and proceed to use the camera function to take a picture of the Tradesperson for their Wallet.
NOTE: You will not be able to update profile images for Wallets owned and managed by another organization. As such, it is incumbent upon you to validate the Trades Wallet against a current piece of Government ID, such as a driver’s license, to corroborate the identity.
