This document covers the following topics:
If your organization provides in-house training, or has recommended training providers linked through Trades Wallet, you can assign 'Classes' to each 'Course' on offer that will be made available to your Wallet holders when reviewing their 'Training Requests' and when looking to renew expiring or expired credentials.
For more information about 'Classes', click here.
Add a 'Class' to a Course
NOTE: You can only assign one 'type' of 'Class' per 'Course'. As such, if your organization promotes both physical and online class options, you will need to create (2) separate 'Courses' - one for 'Online', the other will be associated to 'Physical' classes.
- Locate the relevant 'Course' you wish to create, or update, the 'Class' details for.
For more information on 'Courses', click here. - Scroll down the 'Course Details' page until you reach the sub-section entitled: 'Classes'.
First, you need to choose whether the classes will be offered 'Online' or if the classes require a student to be physically present (classroom training). Should you have both 'Online' and 'Physical' classes on offer, create two separate 'Courses'.
Create New Online Class
To schedule an 'Online' class, available to your Wallet holders 24/7, select the relevant option.
- This will present you with the following fields where you can begin the process of adding the 'Class Details'.
- Include a URL (link) to the specific 'Online' class on offer.
This link will be made available to your Wallet holders who wish to access, and potentially 'Sign Up' for the class via their Trades Wallet profile. - Finally, select the (blue) 'Update' button to apply the class to the course.
- You will receive a (green) success message indicating that the online class has been created:
Create New Physical Class
If you would instead like to schedule a 'Physical' class, select the relevant option.
- This will present you with a (green) 'New' button that you can select to begin the process of adding your class details.
- For '1-day classes', enter the date into both the 'Start Date' and 'End Date' fields such that they match:
For Classes that span 'multiple days', you would instead enter the 'Start Date' as the first scheduled day of class, and the 'End Date' as the last scheduled day of class: - Next, update the 'Start' and 'End' times for the relevant class. By default, the times will be set from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
NOTE: The times listed reflect the time zone in which the class is being offered. For multi day classes, the start and end times listed represent the times the class will be held on the first day only. - Enter any pertinent details for the class within the 'Description' field.
-
If you currently offer classes, or endorse classes offered via a third party learning management system, you can include a URL (link).
This link will be made available to your Wallet holders who wish to access, and potentially 'Sign Up' for the class via their Trades Wallet profile. - Finally, select the (blue) 'Create' button to apply the class to the course.
- You will note the new 'Class' will appear within the grid with the details summarized. You can continue to add classes as required.
Remove a Class
To remove an 'Online' class from a Course will require you to 'Remove' the entire 'Course'.
Should you wish to remove a scheduled 'Physical' class from the list, open the class entry to view its details.
Select the (red) 'Remove' button.
The selected class will be removed and will no longer appear to your Wallet holders from within their Trades Wallet profile.
Associate a Course to an existing Card
In order for 'Class' information appear within a Wallet when viewed via the Self Service App, the Course needs to be associated to a Card within a Wallet.
