While you have the ability to create your own ‘Card Mapping’ definition(s) manually, Trades Wallet also provides a means for you to 'clone' - or copy - ‘Card Mapping’ definitions that already exist within the Trades Wallet Community.

Clone Card Mapping Definition(s)

You can choose to 'clone' mappings derived from a 'Trusted' organization OR clone from a listing of generic ‘Card Mapping’ definitions maintained by Trades Wallet:

1. From the ‘Mappings’ tab, select the (blue) ‘Clone’ button:
   
   
   
   
2. This will reveal the ‘Clone Card Mappings From’ form where you have the option to search for a ‘Trusted’ organization within the Trades Wallet Community OR access a generic list of ‘Card Mapping’ definitions curated and maintained by Trades Wallet. 
   
   

Clone from a ‘Trusted’ organization

1. To clone, or copy, a set of ‘Card Mapping’ definition(s) from a ‘Trusted’ organization within the Trades Wallet community, use the search bar provided to populate the NAME of the organization:
   
   
   
   Alternatively, you can select the ‘Click Here’ link to reveal a listing of all organizations you currently ‘Trust’:
   
   
   
   NOTE: Only organizations within the Trades Wallet Community that have established reciprocal ‘Trust’ can have their ‘Card Mapping’ definition(s) cloned.

2. Select a relevant ‘Source’ entry from the list provided:
   
   
   
   
3. This will reveal a (read-only) view of the organization you wish to clone from. To confirm your selection, click the (blue) ‘Select’ button:
   
   
   
   
4. You will now be presented with a sub-section entitled: ‘Cloning Options’. This section will allow you to refine how the ‘cloned’ ‘Card Mapping’ definitions will be updated for your organization.
   
   

Clone 'Generic Mappings' provided by Trades Wallet

1. To clone, or copy, a set of generic ‘Card Mapping’ definition(s) curated and maintained by Trades Wallet, select the ‘Click Here’ link:
   
   
   
   
2. This will result in a listing of Generic Card Mappings to appear, differentiated by jurisdiction (i.e. Generic Card Mappings – Alberta).
   
   Select the relevant ‘Source’ entry from the list provided:
   
   
   
   
3. This will reveal a (read-only) view of the organization you wish to clone from. To confirm your selection, click the (blue) ‘Select’ button:
   
   
   
   
4. You will now be presented with a sub-section entitled: ‘Cloning Options’. This section will allow you to refine how the ‘cloned’ ‘Card Mapping’ definition(s) will be updated for your organization. 
   
   

Cloning Options

Within the 'Cloning Options' sub-section, you will be provided with (3) options that enable you to refine how the cloned Card Mapping definition(s) will be updated within your organization.

(1) Clone new Card Mapping entries

If this is the FIRST time you are ‘cloning’ Card Mapping definition(s) from this source, you should note that the ‘Clone new Card Mapping entries’ will be automatically selected as this is the only option available (the other two options will be disabled). 



You will be provided with the overall number of 'Card Mapping' definition(s) that will be created:



You can view the individual 'Card Mapping' definition(s) within the 'Mappings to be Cloned' sub-section below, with a relative action to 'Create':



By default, ALL 'Card Mapping' definition(s) will be set to 'Include' when cloned. Select the toggle switch to select a sub-section of the mapping definitions listed.

Any 'Card Mapping' definition that is set to 'Exclude' will not be included when the listing of 'Card Mapping' definition(s) are cloned to your organization. 



NOTE: If this is NOT the first time you are ‘cloning’ Card Mapping definition(s) from this source, selecting this option will copy only those 'Card Mapping' definition(s) that have not been previously cloned:

(2) Update Text for existing cloned entries

NOTE: If this is the first time you are cloning 'Card Mapping' definition(s) from this source, this option will be disabled.

Select this option to update the verbiage (Name/Description) attributed to 'Card Mapping' definition(s) that have been previously cloned from this source.

In this way, when updates to the 'Card Mapping' definition(s) are made by the source (either Trades Wallet or a ‘Trusted’ organization within the Community) the relevant updates will be made within your organization also.

You will be provided with the overall number of 'Card Mapping' definition(s) that will be updated:



Refer to the ‘Mappings to be Cloned’ section to further refine which Card Mapping definition(s) you would like to include. You should note the relative action is to 'Update Text':



NOTE: By default, ALL 'Card Mapping' definition(s) will be set to 'Include' when cloned. Select the toggle switch to select a sub-section of the mapping definitions listed.

Any 'Card Mapping' definition that is set to 'Exclude' will not be included when the listing of 'Card Mapping' definition(s) are cloned to your organization. 

(3) Remove deprecated cloned entries

NOTE: If this is the first time you are ‘cloning’ Card Mapping definition(s) from this source, this option will be disabled.

Select this option to remove any 'Card Mapping' definition(s) that have been deprecated by the originating source.

In this way, when a 'Card Mapping' definition(s) is removed by the source (either Trades Wallet or a ‘Trusted’ organization within the Community) the relevant updates will be made within your organization also.



You will be provided with the overall number of 'Card Mapping' definition(s) that will be removed:

Refer to the ‘Mappings to be Cloned’ section to further refine which Card Mapping definition(s) you would like to remove:



NOTE: By default, ALL 'Card Mapping' definition(s) will be set to 'Include' when cloned. Select the toggle switch to select a sub-section of the mapping definitions listed.

Any 'Card Mapping' definition that is set to 'Exclude' will not be included when the listing of 'Card Mapping' definition(s) are cloned to your organization. 

Mappings to be Cloned

Within the ‘Mappings to be Cloned’ sub-section, you will be presented with a complete listing of 'Card Mapping' definition(s), relevant to the 'Cloning Option(s)' selected above:

As with all entries within Trades Wallet, you can select a relevant Mapped entry to view its details:

When you are happy with your selection, click the (blue) 'Clone' button:



You will be returned to the ‘Mappings’ tab where you should now note the cloned 'Card Mapping' definition(s) listed within the grid. You should note that the ‘Cloned’ status is marked with a green check mark:

Edit Cloned 'Card Mapping' Definition(s)

As with all entries within Trades Wallet, you can select an entry to view it in detail

Within a ‘Cloned’ Card Mapping definition you should again note the details of the Mapping. These fields can be edited or modified to suit the needs of your organization.

Ensure that when making updates to the Name or Description, you select the (blue) ‘Update’ button to apply the changes to the entry.

Allow Updates from Source

By default, this toggle is enabled. Leaving this enabled will ensure that the Mapping definition is automatically updated when cloned Mapping definition(s) from the relevant source are synced.  

Disabling this switch for the specific Mapping definition will preclude it from being updated when the cloned Mapping definition(s) from the relevant source are synced.
